How Do You Celebrate Quirky One Like Goldblum?

October 22, 2010

What's my mantra?

With a CLIP SHOW, of course!

Jeff loves Peaches! He said so! It’s academic. Okay, maybe he actually met the fruit and not my alter ego!

I think I might have been one of the few folks outside Goldblum’s family to have watched this show!

Lulz, He’s totally bringing Sexyback. Take it to the bridge:

I thought he was hilarious and nasty in The Life Aquatic:

Goldblum answers some questions. Still miss his great cop drama Raines:

It’s been 35 years since your Death Wish “Thug 2” days and what a long, strange, wonderful trip it’s been! Happy birthday, Mr. Goldblum. You might have been chased off LO:CI by rabid Goren & Eames fans, but we still think you’re tops on Fry Butt!

Okay, Fry Butt community, show your love for Goldblum!

Happy birthday Mr. G! I think playing Michael in The Big Chill (talk about your low hanging fruit) is where he perfected his quirky/smart/sardonic delivery style that served him well in his portrayals of technogeeks in movies like Jurassic Park‘s Ian Malcolm (my favorite role of his) and the Fly‘s Seth Brundle (that got totally ripped off by the Mohindar character in season 3 of Heroes).

ok, that Tenspeed and Brown Shoe is awesome, I’d never seen that! and Ben Vereen and him are a good pairing when I think about it, it’s a shame that didn’t go somewhere further.

one of my favorite Jeff Goldblum movies is Pittsburgh.

@Redlami – OH he was absolutely perfect in The Big Chill. Hilarious. He has my favorite line of the movie, “Karen, I’ll come and I’ll bring a date.” to Karen’s lament that she couldn’t get a crowd so big at her funeral.

@Raymondj – I need to see that movie ASAP. Those clips have convinced me. Also, check out Raines. You might like if, if you haven’t done so already. Two words: Malik Yorba!

Hahah. That dude’s name is not Malik Yorba. It’s Yoba.

    Hotel Malik Yorba!

I even found him sexy in the previously discussed Silverado…he couldn’t be *all bad* with that delivery that’s an eighth of a beat off kilter, could he? Oh LOOK OUT FOR THE KNIFE IN HIS BOOT!
