Quick Pats of Butter

April 1, 2010

the truth is in that bed somewhere.

• Netflix has a treat in store for its subscribers. Starting today some of your favorite FOX TV shows are available for instant streaming! We’re talking good stuff like The X-Files, Prison Break, Arrested Development, My Name is Earl (aired on NBC, made by Fox), 24, Buffy, Angel and the rest of the Hee Haw gang*.

• Script Frenzy – NaNoWriMo for screenwriters, playwrights and the likes – starts TODAY. 30 days to complete 100 pages! I’m doing it and I believe our own Everett is doing it as well. Check out the site for more information; if you’re up for the challenge then get cracking.

• All five seasons of HBO’s Six Feet Under are selling for UNDER 15 bucks a piece at WALLY WORLD. Now, if you have some aversion to the place – and there are many folks who do – stop by your friendly other big box retailer, like say Best Buy and request a price match. Ask them to call the store to verify the price. They are generally good about matching stuff hassle free. This is a fantastic deal and probably the cheapest I’ve ever seen the sets BRAND NEW. All five seasons for under 80 bucks, when they were going for upwards of fiddy not that long ago is a sweet deal. Particularly for many longtime fans who haven’t been able to justify spending all that cashmoneyduckets for 13 episodes per season.

• Ed Lin’s latest novel – Snakes Can’t Runis out and available for purchase. It’s getting heaps of praise from all kinds of fancy places and I’m super excited for him. Oh yeah, it’s the sequel to This is a Bust.

• Erika Lopez, the patron saint of Fry Butter has launched a new website and it’s fantagical. Fry Butter sends some beautiful Quan to Minimonstergirl and the crew and eagerly await the release of Erika’s book The Girl Must Die in September. Mark your calendars!

* Hee Haw not actually available for streaming at this time.

Is there a hand that belongs to no one on Duchovny’s arm? All hands are accounted for and are in other places, except for Duchovny’s, but that don’t look like his paw. Is there a fourth person under the sheets?
